Newest piece, some personal art. I know I should be working on commissions, but it has been such a stressful year, that I needed an outlet.
It's no secret I LOVE mermaids. And ever since I discovered these amazing tail makers on Facebook, I've been dying to create one myself. This is (more or less) me as a mermaid. My ideal tail (inspired by Mertailor Eric Ducharme's magnificent masterpieces! [link]
My project this year is to create my own tail. It's gonna kick my butt, but hopefully I can pull it off. It's one thing off my bucket list.
Mertailor is truly awesome. I saw some close up video of his tails in action and the fins are so detailed that they even have the spines along the far edges. I was floored by that. I would kill for one of his tails. I'd be an ugly old fat mermaid, but I'd be a GOOD ugly old fat mermaid. :-D
Yah there are lots of tail makers, all have amazing styles and techniques that I'm using as inspiration. I just like the look of mertailor's cool dragon/like tails. XD Love the little fins and stuff he adds on the back and sides. Stuff like that is definitely what I want on my tail!
