^{Well here it is, my piece from Friday's chalk art festival. I asked a few artists if I could draw their pieces, but decided to just stick with original concept art, and seeing as how Skyward Sword has such a beautiful art style, it seemed like the right choice.

Sadly, it's not my best work, and yet, some of the things learned from it make me feel like it is my best (aside from the hack job on the face).

Honestly, my excuse is that I pushed myself harder on this piece than anything else I'd done before. I worked from 8 - 5 with little to no breaks, and towards the end, it shows. I started on the shield, worked my way up and around, and did the face last. By then, I was burnt out. I'm quite upset about it, but at the same time, its my fault for not taking it easy. I was crunched for time though.

I am STILL sore from Friday, and I can barely walk (my legs, knees, back and wrist still throb with pain). It was still worth it though, I learned a lot from this piece, which is to be patient and picky with colors and blending, but doing means spending more time on my hands and knees, and they could NOT take any more by the end of the day.

Despite all that, everyone seemed to like it. I do say I'm quite proud of the shield and sword handle. Which is why they have special close ups. I was the only 'sponsered' artist at their chalk art festival, everyone else was first time chalk artists doing it for fun. There were some amazing pieces though!

I did get to meet some pretty awesome students over at the high school. Had a cool group that hung out with me and kept me company while I finished this. We talked about a lot of stuff, it was fun! Shout outs to and her boyfriend . They were so sweet!

TL;DR: It's not my best chalk art job, I admit, but I had fun anyway.

I go to fremont! I saw you making this while my art class was drawing outside. I only got to see a little bit. Wish i couldve seen it in person. By the way its beatiful. The colors are bright and soft, just like skyward sword.
