Finished! This was a tough chalk. The side walk was super rough and just ate my chalk up. And blending was a nightmare. It actually took several layers of chalk before it would fill with color. Not all side walk is created equal. Now I remember why I struggled so much last year. Definitely a finger-bleedin' event. LOL Worth it every time, though!
My original line art sketch was more or less spot on, but once I slapped the color on, the lines got slightly wonky. Not happy with that. Oh well.

doesnt it break your heart when the rain washes it away? i would be so crushed! what advise would you give someone who wishes to started using chalk pastels but doesn't know where to begin? i am at such a loss as to what to do or even how to protect my work.
