Wolf Sanctuary 1 by sugarpoultry Wolf Sanctuary 1 by sugarpoultry
I can't believe I haven't uploaded any of these to dA yet! *is ashamed*

This was last summer vising Wolf Mountain Sanctuary, in Lucerne Valley, CA, its an amazing establishment where you get the rare opportunity to go inside and interact with the wolves face to face!

This is Segoni, he is the oldest wolf they have at the park. He jumped up on his hut to get a better look at us. hehe!

Cool.

A wolf sanctuary is an awesome idea. The sad thing is that most people misunderstand wolves.

At least we have people who care about these wonderful animals and want to protect them and help them out.

You could make this picture into a beautiful painting :)

Hehe yeah, I used these pictures as reference. Plus just seeing them in person, how they walk, move, etc. it helped my art literally over night. I didn't sketch while I was watching though. XD

My neighbor was caring for a wolf who lost her leg to cancer. She was always so sweet and gentle and I used to sneak into the yard to pet her. She and the half-wolf they had passed away recently. This brings back good memories.
