So, I always say something like this, and then decide later not to, but this time, I really think I mean it. XD This is a long rant too... but don't worry, a tl;dr is at the end for those of you who want to skip my rambling.
I know everyone is waiting for me to open commissions up again, but I'm a bit tired. I've been working too long drawing things for other people, that I really do wanna step back and be selfish for once. So, I am going to be taking a very long break from opening art commissions. This goes for mask commissions too (the blanks will stay open a lil' while longer for Halloween, but yeah).
I have a private to-do list of stuff I've been dying to try. Some of which, almost a whole year old! I've never had the time to do it. I want everything I submit in my gallery that ends up in your inbox to matter to ME. I want something I can be proud of because its my own. I love drawing your guys' characters, I really do, but there comes a time when you just get tired of being told what to draw.
I also have several collaborative projects in mind (in general), whether it be collabs, trades, whatever. These I haven't done in a while, and I wanna do more. Please, don't send me notes or messages asking me to draw on with you, let me decide. XD I do plan on doing another hat drawing for trades again though, so stay tuned for that.
Will I open commissions again? You bet I will! And who knows, maybe I'll be so bored one night I'll take one commission at a time, I dunno, but I need a break. I wanna wake up in the morning and say, "hey, I literally have nothing going on right now, I can do whatever I want." Having commissions is kind of like homework for school, you have to do it, and its hanging on your shoulders for a long time. There have even been times where I've considered just refunding everyone all at once to get away from that feeling. XD But I could never bring myself to do it.
And now I bring it to the tl;dr part: Not going to open commissions for a long time (both masks and art), gonna take a break to work on my own personal projects.
