| Hi there! My name is Jennette. I am a homemaker, a stay at home mother, and a freelance digital illustrator. I've been married to my husband for almost five years. I love being married to the amazing man he is! We have one daughter who is almost three, who is the greatest blessing of my life! We also have a little Siberian Husky puppy named Link (named after LoZ - yes we're nerds!). I graduated with a B.S. in music from Brigham Young University-Idaho, studying flute. I soon realized too late that despite music being a serious passion of mine, that it wasn't what I wanted to do with my life. I wish (to this day) that I had chosen to pursue a career in art instead. I think I was born to do anything creative, whether it be art, music, craft, or pure imagination. My imagination is what brings me to do what I do. It's very overactive, constantly going, so much that sometimes I talk to myself when nobody is around! My life is one big role play! My love for all things fantasy started at a young age and I've never grown out of it. I've been drawing since I was a little girl. My mom started me in beginner art classes and while everyone would be drawing boring faces and figures and I'd be off on my own drawing dragons and dinosaurs. Creating an alternate reality through art is one of the reasons I love it so much. Art is an escape from reality, so I never draw anything 'normal.' It just isn't fun enough. It wasn't until after I was married the end of 2006 that I decided to give my art another try and improve my skills (since I had been out of practice for years). I received my digital drawing pad for my 20th birthday and I worked hard to perfect that talent and understand the ways of Photoshop. I have been doing digital art ever since! Since I've made a comeback with my artwork, I plan on being a freelance artist for a long time. It's a hobby as well as a business that I am very passionate about. I strive to improve my skills, enjoy creating a world outside my own and hopefully help provide for my family doing something I love! |
